Congratulations to luxury shoe designer Jimmy Choo for getting superb publicity when a pair of its shoes starred in a high-profile photo shoot with Olympic golden girl Rebecca Adlington.
The exclusive brand grabbed the headlines when Becky's hometown mayor presented the double Olympic champion with a golden handmade pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, worth £460, in front of hordes of snapping photographers.
The Mayor of Mansfield, Tony Eggington, promised the shoes at her Olympic send-off provided she come back from Beijing with a gold medal.
The 19-year-old swimming heroine returned home to be greeted by a rapturous reception from 15,000 Mansfield residents, cheering as she toured the town on an open-top bus.
But the enduring moment of Becky's homecoming was the presentation of the specially commissioned shoes, made from watersnake skin, which are known to be one of the swimmer's favourite brands.
A well-deserved reward of golden Choos for her Olympic feet it may be. But the reward will be even greater for the shoe brand, which can look forward to cashing in on all the media attention and a corresponding boost in sales.
